I am a board-certified osteopathic family physician with a deep commitment to holistic, patient-centered care.
I earned my medical degree from Des Moines University and completed my residency at the University of Minnesota North Memorial Family Medicine Residency. Before attending medical school, I worked as a nurse for four years in medical-surgical, telemetry, and emergency care after earning a Bachelor of Arts in nursing from St. Olaf College.
Life-long learning is important to me, and I have continued to refine my skills since residency, with extra training in osteopathy through the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation and with Dr. Rachel Brooks. I am participating in a breastfeeding / lactation medicine fellowship through the Institute of Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine.
I take a relational approach to medicine, prioritizing deep listening and meaningful connections rather than a rushed, transactional experience.
